In June 2008, Jennifer S. de Winter was named Executive Vice President of Stores for Saks Fifth Avenue. Prior to this role, she was Group Senior Vice President and General Merchandise Manager of Fashion and Fine Jewelry, Watches, Women's Shoes, Handbags and Soft Accessories, a position which she held since 2007. She was appointed Senior Vice President, General Merchandise Manager of Fashion and Fine Jewelry, Watches, Women's Shoes, Intimate Apparel and Hosiery at Saks Fifth Avenue in May 2000. In October 2002, Accessories and Handbags were added to her responsibilities.
Prior to this appointment, de Winter was Associate General Merchandise Manager for Fashion and Fine Jewelry, Watches, Hosiery, Women's Shoes and Intimate. She joined Saks Fifth Avenue in 1995 as Vice President, Divisional Merchandise Manager, Jewelry and Watches.
De Winter's retail career began in 1983 at Macy's, where she was an Executive Trainee. During her time at Macy's, she held various positions of increasing responsibility before being promoted to Vice President, Divisional Merchandise Manager.
De Winter received a B.A. from Simmons College in Boston, Massachusetts.
